Translation costs are usually calculated per line (1 standard line = 55 key strokes in the target language). The fee per line depends on the kind of text to be translated and its degree of difficulty. The fee for translating very simple texts (private correspondence without special language, for example) will be EUR 1,15 per line.
As texts cannnot be compared, I only draw up quotes after evaluating the source text. Therefore, please provide me with your source text by mail, facsimile or e-mail. I will then provide you with a realistic and fair quote.
In the past audio typing costs were usually calculated per page typed. As text lengths can, however, differ due to varying fonts and font sizes, it is much simpler and fairer to calculate audio typing charges by line (1 standard line = 55 key strokes) as well. My usual fee per line for typing up documents with a very low degree of difficulty (no special language, excellent quality of the recorded text) will be EUR 0,15 per line.
